Sealmaster DropSeal 2712 | Automatic Drop Down Door Seal

Description The Sealmaster DropSeal 2712 is an automatic drop down door seal primarily used to closed the gap between the floor and bottom of the door. The DropSeal 2712 provides smoke, acoustic, draught and weather door threshold sealing. When the door is closed the adjustable plunger is pressed and automatically releases the drop seal, closing the gap between the door threshold and the floor. The drop seal system is then released when the door is opened and has been durability tested to over 1,000,000 cycles. The automatic drop down seal is suitable for both new and retro fit projects and is fitted with a retractable spring-loaded mechanism, which ensures self-levelling sealing of the entire door bottom length. DropSeal 2712 can be adjusted to seal gaps up to 12mm and is available in a range of sizes, each of which can be cut down by up to 100mm to suit the door width. When paired with threshold plates TL, TM, TN from Sealmaster Thunder Range, DropSeal 2712 can be used for a larger under door gap and will provide a more effective door bottom seal. Sealmaster DropSeal 2712 has been tested to BS EN 1634-1 2014, BS EN 1363-1 2012 and BS476 Part 22 and is acoustically rated up to 40db. DropSeal 2712 is comprised of an aluminium case, carrier and self-extinguishing silicone seal, with an extractable internal mechanism. Quick and easy to install, with hidden fixings, DropSeal 2712 fits discretely to the bottom of the doors. The product is provided with the instructions on how to rout the seal into the door bottom and fixings including screws, stainless steel clips and frame protector.
