An extremely rare set of the Royal Navy Official WW2 'Staff Histories' of Submarines Operations. These were produced solely for the information of Naval Staff under 'Confidential' status and never available to the Public. Volume 1 (1953) Operations in Home, Northern & Atlantic Waters, 248pp, illustrated, many maps. Volume 2 (1955), Mediterranean waters, 328pp, illustrated, many maps. Volume 3 (1956) Far Eastern Waters, 159pp, illustrated, maps. Huge amount of details of RN submarine operations, losses and successes etc. All VG clean copies, complete with all maps, undamaged. Original blue cloth boards, slightly worn to top covers where the old paper security labels have been removed. Vol.2 has a supply note for Vice-Admiral Sir Sydney Raw, a WW2 submariner and later Flag Officer Submarines and Fourth Sea Lord. Few copies of these publications have 'escaped' official libraries as only very senior staff were allowed personal copies such as these. Extremely Rare.
