The sturdy fiber design makes it highly durable and easy to apply to furniture, decor, and mixed-media art without tearing. How To? To get the most out of your fiber decoupage paper and achieve a seamless finish, you can follow these best practices: Prep the Surface: Start with a clean, dry, dust-free surface. Create a Base: Since fiber paper can be slightly translucent, painting a light or white basecoat on your project surface helps the true, vivid colors of the design pop. Tear for Blending: Gently dampening the edges of the paper and tearing them (rather than cutting with scissors) creates a softer, blended edge that disappears into your project’s surface. Smooth & Seal: Apply a thin, even layer of decoupage gel or medium to the project area. Gently press the paper down, working outward from the center with your hands or a soft layer to smooth out any creases or air bubbles.
